Studio Appointments

Arrange a quieter encounter with the collection

House of Saaj welcomes studio visitors by appointment.

Because the studio is located within a residential setting and visits are hosted personally, an appointment allows each visit to remain attentive, comfortable, and shaped around the visitor’s interests.

There are no regular public walk-in hours.

How to Request a Visit

Studio appointments are intended for those who would like to:
• view a particular work in person
• compare several available pieces
• better understand scale, material, surface, or craftsmanship
• find a work for a particular room or home
• begin exploring the heritage arts and crafts of India
• discuss thoughtful gifting
• visit with an interior designer, family member, or friend
• return to a work previously viewed
• experience the collection without an immediate purchasing decision

You do not need prior knowledge of the traditions represented at House of Saaj.

Curiosity is enough.

Preparing For Your Visit

You are welcome to browse the collection online before requesting an appointment.

When possible, mention any of the following:
• a particular work or product link
• a tradition you are interested in
• a form, such as a rug, painting, textile, vessel, box, or object
• the room or placement you are considering
• approximate dimensions
• a material or visual quality drawing your attention
• whether you are choosing for yourself, a client, or as a gift

This helps us prepare relevant works before you arrive.

You may also request a general introductory visit without selecting anything in advance.

Requesting an Appointment

Appointments are arranged individually.

When making your request, please include:
• your name
• your preferred dates or general availability
• the number of visitors
• your town or general location
• any works, traditions, forms, or materials you would especially like to see
• any accessibility needs or questions

Requests may be made through the studio appointment form, the Contact page, email, or telephone.

Call or text: 978-369-6363

Visits are confirmed personally. Please wait for confirmation before making travel arrangements.

Length of Visit

Most studio visits last approximately 45 to 75 minutes.
A focused visit to see one or two particular works may be shorter.
Visitors who would like a broader introduction to the collection may wish to allow more time.
There is no need to hurry, but because appointments are individually hosted,
please arrive as close to the confirmed time as possible.

Location And Arrival

The Saaj Studio is located in a quiet residential setting in Massachusetts, within the Greater Boston area.
The studio has a separate visitor entrance and dedicated parking.
The complete address and arrival instructions are shared once an appointment has been confirmed.
This allows the studio to preserve the privacy and pace appropriate to a home-based setting.

During Your Appointment

Your visit may include:
• time to look independently
• a conversation about your interests
• a short Curator’s Walk
• comparisons between selected works
• guidance regarding scale and placement
• information about tradition, region, material, and care
• time to consider without interruption

There is no expectation that a decision must be made during the visit.
Works may be chosen slowly.
Questions may continue after you leave.

Bringing Others

You are welcome to visit with a spouse, family member, friend, or interior designer.
Please mention the number of visitors when requesting your appointment so the studio can be prepared accordingly.
Because the setting is intimate, larger group visits must be arranged separately.

After your Visit

You are welcome to take time before deciding.

Where appropriate, House of Saaj can provide:
• dimensions and detail photographs
• placement guidance
• follow-up information
• care instructions
• shipping or local collection options
• a summary of the works considered

A studio visit is not the end of the choosing process.
It may simply be the moment when recognition begins.
